Traffic
engineering design is vital to the safe and effective movement along
a roadway or within a parking lot. Whether you are planning for a
new traffic signal, signage, or garage circulation pattern, The
Traffic Group is ready to provide expert design assistance.
Working
through AutoCad and Intergraph Microstation, our designers and
planners test various alternatives and prepare detailed plans
depicting recommendations. In addition, we have developed a
spreadsheet program for generating traffic signal equipment lists
and cost estimates required for large contracts.
Our Traffic Engineering Design section works on both public and
private sector projects. Although our offices are located in the
Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area, we have performed design
services nation-wide, as well as internationally.
For the public sector, The Traffic Engineering Design section has
been awarded contracts with various state and county agencies such
as the Maryland State Highway Administration; the Maryland Transit
Administration; Montgomery County, Maryland; Howard County,
Maryland; Frederick County, Maryland, among others.

of our computer capabilities, The Traffic Group continuously strives

Our graphic capabilities allow us to show clients a specific design
