Harbor The Traffic Group, Inc. worked with The Peterson Companies of McLean, Virginia to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (E.I.S.) for the National Capital Planning Commission (N.C.P.C.), a Traffic Impact Analysis for the M-NCPPC, and Interstate Access Permit (I.A.P.) modifications for the Federal Highway Administration. We developed trip generation and trip distribution characteristics for the 5 million sq. ft. retail dining and urban entertainment center located along the shores of the Potomac River at the Wilson Bridge in the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. Washington, D.C. has over 25 million visitors per year. It is expected that the National Harbor project will generate nearly 13 million visitors to this very unique urban entertainment complex. The Traffic Group, Inc. prepared engineering design and graphic solutions to provide access from the Interstate System and to the 8,000 car spaced parking garage to service this project.
