ACEC Educational Outreach Programs

The American Council of Engineering Companies – Maryland Chapter -- annually conducts educational outreach programs to local middle schools in Maryland. Sending professional engineers out to interested schools, the focus of this program is to inform, educate and stimulate middle school students as to the importance of various engineering disciplines and to perhaps influence the next generation to pursue an engineering education.

From this next pool of engineering talent, a continual flow of qualified individuals is preserved to ensure that today’s engineering firms continue a legacy into the future. Civil, structural, hydraulic, environmental, and of course, traffic/ transportation engineering are just a few of the disciplines demonstrated.

The Traffic Group is delighted to send members of our engineering staff out to these schools to participate in this program, and we are equally as proud to be a part of this effort in support of this vital program of ACEC Planning for the future progress of all.
