Joseph J. Caloggero, PE, PTOE, PTP
Senior Project Manager

Joe Caloggero is a professional traffic engineer who brings over 14 years of both technical and academic experience to The Traffic Group, Inc.  His responsibilities with the firm include, but are not limited to, proposal preparation, various traffic engineering and managerial tasks in the areas of traffic impact analysis, traffic safety studies, and transportation planning, as well as attending hearings for various projects and meetings with the community.

Previously, Mr. Caloggero served as a traffic engineer for Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas, Inc. and the Maryland State Highway Administration. During his career, he has performed various traffic engineering tasks, including traffic signal design, highway and intersection capacity analysis, maintenance and protection of traffic design, and transportation planning. He has also participated in engineering training programs and researched transportation related topics.

Prior to joining The Traffic Group, Inc. some of the projects in which Mr. Caloggero served as a traffic engineer are: Southern New Jersey Light Rail Transit System project, Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Transit System project in New Jersey, Newark-Elizabeth Rail Link in New Jersey, and Newark Arena (New Jersey Nets) District Redevelopment Plan. Additionally, while working with the Maryland State Highway Administration, Mr. Caloggero has worked on Neighborhood Conservation Programs in the Maryland towns of Hancock, Clear Spring, and Lonaconing.
