BETTY H. TUSTIN, PE, PTOE
Project Manager
Mrs. Tustin has a wide range of experience in the area of transportation engineering, research, and planning in both the private and public sectors. As a
Project Manager with The Traffic Group, Inc., Mrs. Tustin is based in Berlin, Maryland to service our clients on the Eastern Shore areas of Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.
She has experience conducting traffic impact studies, traffic safety analyses, pedestrian safety studies, and field surveys. Mrs. Tustin manages research projects involving design of study, supervision of data collection, statistical and economic analysis and evaluation of data and written report of findings.
As a consultant to the Federal Highway Administration, she authored an engineering handbook on rail-highway crossings and co-authored an engineering training course. As a Civil Engineer for the Federal Railroad Administration, Mrs. Tustin was involved in program management. She served on committees for the purpose of developing, implementing, interpreting, evaluating, and monitoring programs and policies to maximize the efficient utilization of resources and to identify and resolve problem areas. She analyzed and evaluated transportation research projects to ensure their accuracy and validity. Active in her community, Mrs. Tustin has served on the Worcester County Northern U.S. Route 113 Access Control Task Force and various committees for the Worcester County Board of Education, including Leadership Maryland: Forum for Policy Change.
