PTOE 

The Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) is a voluntary, peer-developed and administered program initiated by and affiliated with the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). It started in 1999.

Traffic Operations Engineering generally includes:

• Traffic Operation Analysis
• Operational Effects of Geometric Designs
• Traffic Safety
• Traffic Control Devices
• Traffic Engineering Studies
• Social, Environmental and Institutional Issues

The first PTOE examination was held on Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999 in Washington, DC. The Traffic Group, Inc. proudly employs nine PE's and PTOE's on staff: Mickey Cornelius, Derek Joost, Shulin Li, Joseph Caloggero, Betty Tustin, Carl Wilson , Qiang Tian, Ming-Yu Chien, and Richard Huang. These professionals, with their knowledge, skill, and ability, guarantee our clientele the highest level of expertise in the specialized field of traffic operations engineering.
