Greenbook
 The
picture on the left is the 2001 Green Book published by the American Association of State Highway
Transportation Officials (AASHTO). The proper name is A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets.
This book is known as the "Greenbook" in the transportation
community, and contains a set of national
standards for geometric design and construction of all types of roadways from freeways to local roads and streets. The
standards were developed for a national audience and portions may not be applicable for every municipality. The
"Greenbook" provides information and details about design and construction of the geometry of all
roadways.
